Alternative Options

Although recycling is good for the environment, it is even better to eliminate the waste altogether. There are many reusable alternatives to commonly used single-use items that go to waste such as reusable dishes instead of disposable, reusable straws, reusable water bottles, reusable shopping bags, etc. When plastics are not recycled they end up in landfills and oceans so this is a good way to altogether limit the amount of waste that ends up in places that they shouldn't.
